21st EURASLIC Biennial Conference was held jointly with ASFA-FAO and GreyNet International, hosted by D4Science-CNR from May 7-9th, 2025 in Pisa, Italy. Title of the conference How Scientific Communication Practices are Evolving was focused on grey resources. Open access and open science were also one of the conference subjects.

The first day of the conference was dedicated to OpenASFA. Participation was by invitation only to users of this platform and members of the ASFA European Regional network.
Official conference started on May 8th with the opening ceremony, welcome speeches and introduction of all parties involved in organisation. Stephanie Ronan as EURASLIC President gave a short overview of EURASLIC and its activities (Photo below) . Keynote address was made by the host Donatella Castelli. Olaf Siegert talked about open access transformation in economics. Panel session was dedicated to Scientific Communication Practices.

Afternoon session was dedicated to poster session. Each presenter gave a lightning presentation of their poster. In the poster viewing area participants had the opportunity to view the posters and talk with poster authors.
The evening was reserved for a walking tour through wonders and beauty of the Pisa, concluding with conference dinner in excellent restaurant PergOletta.
The morning session of the last conference day was dedicated to the Current Initiatives in the field of AI with broad applications for grey literature. Dobrisa Savić (IAEA Consultant in Nuclear Knowledge Management) one of the keynote speakers opened the session with Challenges in Evaluating the Quality and Credibility of AI-Generated Grey Literature focusing on limitations of traditional evaluation models, presenting solutions and best practices. Challenges in Evaluating the Quality and Credibility of AI-Generated Grey Literature. Brian Paul Bales, presented the transformation of the International Nuclear Information System (INIS). Daryl L. Superio presented ChatGPT Research in the Southeast Asian Region. The other presentations were also dedicated to grey literature and open science presenting: OpenASFA use case, TIB AV-Portal, CNR and Diamond Open Access, Trusted Grey Resources. During the conference several prizes were given. Poster entitled Beyond the Tip of the Iceberg by Francesco D’Antoni, Sapienza Università di Roma, Italy dedicated to grey literature in archeology received the prize for the best poster. Donatella Castelli, Research Associate at ISTI-CNR received the GreyNet Award Recipient 2025.
As the EURASLIC held its elections before the conference EURASLIC Board and Business hybrid meeting were held and a new Board was appointed.
Although for all involved organisations this kind of joint meeting was novelty but proved to be a great success The conference brought together participants from 19 countries. This model of joint conferences could also be a model for future EURASLIC conferences.
